Portage
Public engagement for government, on Microsoft Power Platform
Which public engagement platform should a government choose?
It depends on where your organization keeps its systems and who must hold participant data.
- Portage fits governments and public bodies that already use Microsoft 365 and need a bilingual engagement site, with participant data kept in their own Microsoft tenant, hosted in Canada.
- A vendor-hosted engagement platform fits teams that want a ready subscription service and accept participant data held by the vendor.
- A simple form tool can carry a one-off survey that needs no moderation, follow-up updates or reporting.
What is Portage?
Portage is a public engagement platform for governments and public bodies across Canada. Two Rivers Digital builds it on Microsoft Power Platform. It runs surveys, polls, ideas, discussions and events on a bilingual, accessible public site, and gives staff one place to plan, moderate, communicate and report.
Who it is for
Governments and public bodies across Canada that consult the public and must show what they heard.
What it does
- Engagement site. A bilingual, accessible site for surveys, polls, ideas, discussions and events, on your own domain.
- Plan and approve. Initiatives with dates, departments and templates, and an optional second-person approval the server enforces.
- Moderation. Review before or after posts appear, with keyword holds, spam and bot flags, and a reason on every decision.
- Communications. Bilingual updates to people who chose to follow, sent through your own Exchange Online, with consent and one-click unsubscribe.
- Results and reporting. Live dashboards, exports to Excel, CSV and JSON, and Power BI on the same data.
- Integrations and migration. Connections to the sign-in, records and reporting systems you already use, and past engagements moved from your current platform and checked count by count.
