Crisis Online Management for Youths

For product support, an implementation discussion or a demonstration, contact hello@tworiversdigital.ca or use the COMFY project intake.

Getting started

Download the COMFY installation and evaluation guide (PDF).

COMFY is youth case management software on Microsoft Power Platform. It connects youth-services intake, client records, mobile response, brief therapy, appointments, service programs and a youth portal using Microsoft Dataverse and Power Pages.

Installation requires an authorized Power Platform administrator, a Dataverse environment and appropriate Microsoft licenses. Staff need the applicable Power Apps or Dynamics 365 entitlement. The youth portal requires a standard-data-model Power Pages website and capacity. Your administrator configures staff roles, identity, service availability, privacy and retention before production use.

Install the staff workspace

  1. Acquire COMFY from Microsoft Marketplace and select the destination Dataverse environment. The package installs the managed solution TRDCOMFY, the COMFY model-driven app, 23 tables, three staff security roles and the Setup Center. No client or demonstration records are installed.
  2. Open the Setup Center. In Power Apps, open Solutions, then TRDCOMFY, then COMFY setup. Choose Initialize workspace if the status does not say Workspace ready. Running it again preserves existing records.
  3. Assign staff roles. Care Coordinator has organization-wide access to the service workspace. Field Worker has user-level access to shared client, intake and visit records. Review Reader has organization-wide read access. No COMFY role grants bulk deletion.
  4. Run a first-use check. Create a fictional client, add an intake, record safe-contact instructions and follow the mobile or counselling path. Confirm the record from a second, limited user.

Add the youth portal

  1. Create a blank Power Pages site in the same environment, using the standard data model. Keep it private while you configure it.
  2. In COMFY setup, choose that site from the Dedicated Power Pages website list and select Install COMFY portal. This replaces the site's home page, header, footer and table permissions, so never choose a shared or existing service site.
  3. Personal requests, messages and appointments use contact-scoped permissions. Anonymous visitors get no access to COMFY data.

Data and region

Customer data is stored in the Microsoft environment you select. Choose the region, capacity and retention for your organization; Canadian hosting is a deployment choice. Installation does not give Two Rivers Digital access to your records. Read the COMFY privacy policy and terms.

Requesting help

Include your organization, COMFY version, the affected screen and a description of what happened. Do not send youth records, clinical notes, passwords or authentication tokens by email. We will arrange an appropriate support channel if further information is needed.

Service arrangements

Implementation, migration, integrations, training and ongoing support can be agreed separately with Two Rivers Digital. Response times and service levels apply only when documented in a signed service agreement. The base COMFY package is free to acquire; Microsoft licensing is separate.

Demonstration portal

The demonstration contains fictional records. It is not monitored as a care service and cannot provide crisis support. Do not enter real personal information.
